IGOR PRASSEL

Igor Prassel was born in 1971 in the Slovenian coast town Koper. From 2002 he has been running a monthly series devoted to animated film at the Slovenian Cinematheque, where he is currently working as film curator. He served as jury and program selection member at important international animation and short film festivals around the world. From 2010 he is lecturing on the history and theory of animation film at the University in Nova Gorica. In 2012 the Slovenian Cinematheque published his book “The Filmography of Slovene Animated Film 1952 – 2012”. In 2004 he founded the International Animation Film Festival Animateka, where he is the artistic director.

ISABEL HERGUERA

Isabel Herguera studied Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Duesseldorf, Germany and Animation at the California Institute of the Arts (Calarts). She has directed and produced several short films such as La Gallina Ciega (2005), Ámár (2010), Bajo la Almohada (2012), Amore d'inverno (2015) among others. She teaches animation at the KHM_Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln, Germany, and has directed Sultanas Dream (2023), her first feature film.

JUAN PABLO ZARAMELLA

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he has graduated at the Avellaneda Film Institute as an Animated Film Director. His professional career began by combining his work as an illustrator with the making of his own independent short films, which were recognized throughout the world. He loves exploring different techniques and aesthetics, using mainly stop motion. His best-known work is Luminaris, a pixilation short film which received 328 awards, being the Guinness Record for the most awarded short in 2018. In 2016 he made the series The Tiniest Man in the World, a 53 episodes co-production between France and Argentina. He is currently developing a stop motion feature film, called “I am Nina”.
